Ghanaian actress and on-air personality Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, The Sun Africa can confirm.
The acclaimed actress made the announcement via her official Instagram page a few hours ago.
Apparently, she did not feel well Thursday night and decided to run a Covid test which came out positive.
She further entreated the public to follow the Covid-19 protocols because the virus was still with us.
She wrote “She Hello Family, after not feeling “like myself”, on Thursday night, I did a Covid test and it came out positive. I am feeling okay, following my doctor’s instructions, and currently self-isolating at home.”
She went on “the virus is real. It is still out there. Don’t forget all the safety protocols. Wear your mask at all times. Wash your hands with soap under running water. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Stay safe. Covid is still out there.”
Many Ghanaians have resorted to flouting the Covid-19 protocols due to the restriction s that have been eased by Government.
The country has recorded a total of 47,232 cases of coronavirus, this takes the total number of active cases to 344.
So far, 46,578 have recovered while the death toll remains 310.
